About us

The Rural Heritage Platform is developed in the context of the TOURAL project , designed to connect rural and cultural heritage sites across Europe’s Adriatic-Ionian and Black Sea macro-regions. The platform provides tailored content, supporting sustainable tourism, regional development and cross-border initiatives.

The platform is an augmented instance of the “MedDiveInThePast” platform (originally developed by Atlantis Consulting S.A. (project partner) in the BLUEMED project), rebranded and included destinations from TOURAL partner regions. It is parameterized to address the specific needs of each region and macro-region, while linking new destinations with the existing Mediterranean Sea basin sites, reinforcing the multi-destination tourism concept.

TOURAL PROJECT

The platform is developed under the TOURAL project, funded by the European Union through the Horizon Europe Programme (Call: HORIZON-CL2-2023-HERITAGE-01). TOURAL: “Multidimensional model of tourism verticals driving the sustainable balanced growth among rural & remote grids and urban clusters of rural regions, fostering macro-regional cooperation” runs from 01/01/2024 to 31/12/2026 , with a total budget of €2,999,927, and involves 20 partners from 8 countries.
